Morocco is one of the most rewarding family destinations we know. Children love the camel rides, the desert camps, the souks full of color and the hands-on cooking classes, and parents love that every day feels like an adventure without being hard work. The secret is pacing: shorter drives, two nights in most places, and time to rest by a pool in the afternoon.

Each of our family tours below is private, so it is only your family, your driver and your guides, on dates you choose. We adjust the route to your children’s ages, add family rooms or connecting rooms, and plan meals and breaks around them. All three tours last 7 days and can be shortened, extended or combined.

Good to know

Traveling in Morocco With Kids

  • Best ages: any age works for Marrakech and the coast. For the Sahara dunes, we usually recommend children aged about 5 and up because of the long drive.
  • Best time to go: spring (March to May) and autumn (October and November) are warm but not hot. Summer is very hot inland, so a coastal week with Essaouira suits it better.
  • Rooms: we book family rooms or connecting rooms in riads and hotels, at the comfort level you choose.
  • Food: Moroccan food is not spicy-hot, and kids usually love the bread, couscous, grilled meats and fresh orange juice. We can arrange simpler meals on request.
  • Breaks: your private driver stops whenever you need, for toilets, snacks or a run-around.
