A Journey Through Morocco’s Soul
This is Morocco the way it deserves to be experienced — slowly, deeply, and in full. Ten days that take you from the Mediterranean shores of Tangier all the way to the edge of the Sahara and back through the High Atlas to Marrakech. This 10-day Morocco tour connects every landscape the country has to offer, with enough time in each place to actually absorb it.
You begin in Tangier — the city where Africa and Europe meet, where the Mediterranean and Atlantic converge, where writers and artists have gathered for a century. Then south into the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the Blue City — painted entirely in every shade of indigo and cobalt, one of the most photographed places on earth and one of the most peaceful to simply wander.
Then Fes — a full day inside the world’s largest car-free medieval city, with its 9,000 lanes, ancient university, and tanneries unchanged for a millennium. From Fes, the long and beautiful drive south through the Middle Atlas to the Sahara. Erg Chebbi at sunset, camels, a desert camp under the stars.
The return takes you through the Skoura oasis — thousands of date palms, rose gardens, and ancient kasbahs in a lush green valley — with a cooking class, time to breathe, and a visit to UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou before the High Atlas crossing into Marrakech.
Two final days in Marrakech — the palaces, the souks, the legendary square at dusk — close a journey that covers more of Morocco than most people see in three separate trips.

Six Destinations · Ten Days
Days 1 & 2
You land in Tangier — the city where Africa meets Europe, where the Mediterranean and the Atlantic touch each other at the same shoreline. It has the energy of a port city that has absorbed centuries of different cultures and never quite settled into being just one thing. A walk along the waterfront at dusk, fresh seafood, the medina beginning to quiet down. Then south into the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen — blue on blue on blue, a city that looks like it was designed to be photographed and yet somehow feels completely lived in. Wander the lanes, find a rooftop café, watch the mountain light change all afternoon.
Days 3 & 4
The drive south from Chefchaouen passes through the Rif Mountains and arrives at the imperial city of Meknes — monumental gates, extraordinary royal stables, the kind of architecture that makes you stop mid-sentence. Then Fes, where a full day waits inside the world’s largest car-free medieval city. 9,000 lanes. Al-Qarawiyyin University, founded in 859 CE. The Bou Inania Madrasa with its carved cedar and intricate zellige. The Chouara Tannery, where leather has been dyed in the same stone vats using the same natural colours for a thousand years. An elegant dinner at one of Fes’s finest riads closes the day properly.
Days 5 & 6
One of Morocco’s great drives — south through the Middle Atlas, through cedar forests where Barbary macaques live in the trees, down the Ziz Valley with its vast palm oases, until the dunes of Erg Chebbi appear on the horizon. They rise 150 metres from the flat desert floor and the closer you get, the more improbable they look. At sunset you mount camels and ride into the silence. Your desert camp has private en-suite tents, a long table set under the open sky, Berber music around the fire, and above you — more stars than you have ever seen. The next morning, a visit to a nomadic Berber family in their tent: mint tea, stories, an entirely different relationship with the desert.
Days 7 & 8
The road west from the Sahara brings you to Skoura — a lush oasis of thousands of date palms, rose gardens, and ancient kasbahs rising from the green. A morning cooking class here changes how you think about Moroccan food: tagine made with preserved lemons, hand-rolled couscous, bread baked in a clay oven, the kind of lunch that takes three hours and is worth every minute. The afternoon is yours entirely — a walk through the palm groves, the pool, the silence. Then Ait Benhaddou: the UNESCO-listed fortified ksar that appeared in Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and 20 other films. Its ochre towers glow at golden hour. The views from the summit explain everything about why this place has never been left alone.
Days 9 & 10
The High Atlas crossing via Tizi n’Tichka at 2,260 metres brings you into Marrakech — arriving with the full context of a country you now understand differently. Two days with an expert local guide cover the recently restored Dar El Bacha museum, the Ben Youssef Madrassa with its extraordinary carved cedar courtyard, the Secret Garden, the legendary souk districts — spices, leather, metalwork, textiles — and finally Jemaa el-Fnaa as it erupts at dusk into one of the most extraordinary public spectacles on earth. A farewell dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the illuminated medina closes the journey as it deserves.

It is one of the best Morocco tours for couples — the blue city of Chefchaouen, the desert camp night, the Skoura oasis, and the Marrakech farewell dinner are all especially memorable for two people travelling together. For first-time visitors, having expert local guides in each major city means you understand what you are seeing, not just photographing it. Many guests tell us this tour gave them more genuine insight into Morocco than friends who had visited multiple times independently.
Skoura is a lush palm oasis in southern Morocco — thousands of date palms, rose gardens, and ancient kasbahs set against an arid desert backdrop. Most Morocco tours skip it entirely, which is exactly why we include it. After the intensity of the Sahara, Skoura provides a completely different desert experience: slow, green, and serene. The cooking class here is one of the highlights of the tour for many guests.
Yes — completely. Every element is adjustable for private tours. Start in Casablanca instead of Tangier, skip a city, add extra nights somewhere, adjust the routing, change accommodation level — tell us what you want and we will design it. This Morocco private tour is our recommended version, not a fixed package.
We are a local tour company in Morocco. We know our country and what works best for you, we have been running these routes for years, and we choose accommodations for character and quality — not for margins. You are booking directly with the people who will be on the ground with you, not through an aggregator. When something needs fixing, we fix it. When a hidden spot deserves a detour, we take it.
